This Is Why We Do What We Do

There will come a time, hopefully in the very near future, where all this competitive politicking will end. Every cycle looks more and more like a football game, where people are choosing sides over whose player and team is going to win.

We buy their merchandise and sell their philosophy of life, to our friends/not friends, neighbors and relatives until we’re all nauseous … or at least I am.

We have technology now, almost all of us do.  Throughout the world, we all need to start communicating with each other, without mediators trying to censor us, represent us and redact us..

I submit to you an idea, that will form, in one way or another, hopefully very soon. Truth to tell, because we can read and have the means of an explanation at our fingertips, we no longer need political representatives.

We can full and well, represent ourselves.

If I were to receive legislation to vote on, I would vote on it, ‘yay’ or ‘nay’, and not need anyone to do it for me. Just someone to send me the email with the votes of the day in it, with their explanations, so I could vote on EVERYTHING and so could everyone else if they wanted to.

Add to that a fine of $25.00, if you didn’t participate as your own electoral advocate, in the way our nation is molded, through a majority opinion of voting, on a daily, weekly or even a monthly basis.

For those of you that would prefer a paper ballot and hand count. Have the legislative material sent to your inbox, print it, choose it, go to your local ballot counting office and watch while it’s counted as ‘yay’ or ‘nay’ on any particular ballot item.

As for the details, I’m sure we can find really great computer people to work out the details and security issues. Just imagine all the taxes dollars we could save once we put ALL our representatives out of a job.

It’s time for us to take responsibility for where our whole world is heading, instead of letting corporations or even just Joe or Josephine Blow, make these decisions for us.

Money for education, health care, clean energy, etc … it’s just sitting there waiting for us to have a technological revolution. Just take over and choose the best way for the world.

I think it’s high time that we actually had a government that was “Of The People, By The People and For The People” run by every last United States member of We The People.

Calls and messages are more effective than e-mail.

Please take 2 minutes to call the FCC at 1-888-225-5322. Once connected, the following will get you to an agent; press 1 then 4, then 2, and finally 0 to get to an agent.

Hours to speak to an agent are 8am to 5pm EASTERN. Leaving a message appears to not be an option, the line disconnects. It took me 2 minutes and 3 seconds to call and have my opinions logged.

Here is to a free and open internet!
